Description
Species: Archachatina marginata icterica Color variety: standard
Offered young specimens of the best generation – CB1.F1, from an unrelated parental pair WC/LTC. The snails have an initial pedigree.
Another pride of our breeding, the contrasting and eye-catching Archachatina marginata icterica snails with bright yellow shells. The snails of the Archachatina marginata icterica subspecies have a lighter, straw yellow shade of shell compared to individuals of Archachatina marginata ssp. “Cross River”. The surface of the shell is elegantly embellished with orange, narrow stripes of varying color saturation. Thanks to these striking rays, the shells of snails of this subspecies acquire a unique, sunny appearance. Archachatina marginata icterica – a very rare species, columella in white, often and correctly with a shade of blue , (on some specimens you can see faint traces of yellow shade ).
After the first year after hatching from eggs, the snails surprise with their size and beauty, building a massive shell of impressive size of 12-15 cm. Adult specimens, with their feet erect and their bodies fully extended, look like true exotic giants.
Like most species in the genus Archachatina, these snails are undemanding and thrive when provided with basic maintenance conditions.
